New organization founded by TFA alums Wes Peacock (MA 2014) and John Gabrieli (MA 2016) called the Trio New College Network
Trio helps communities launch their own local hybrid colleges, then supports their growth.
We provide full incubation support to help sites launch successfully, and serve as a powerful shared national learning network to identify and scale best practices.
Trio is in a very exciting place right now with 3 full time employees and 5 volunteer board members. Most recently, Ted Mitchell, former US Undersecretary for Higher Education, officially joined the Trio board. With support from the Gates Foundation and others, Trio has now raised more than $4m in funding to spread a more equitable higher education model across the country, and just launched their first cohort of new Trio sites in Detroit, Newark, & Camden. As of January, Trio has officially enrolled their first 30 students!
