Teach For America – Texas is thrilled to partner with BEN Systems Leadership Coaching to offer free 1:1 leadership coaching for TFA alumni in Texas. We aim to catalyze the leadership potential of TFA alumni currently serving in School Systems across Texas for the 2023-2024 academic year. Through a program lasting 3-6 months, alumni will receive 6 one-on-one coaching sessions designed to create actionable strategies to grow their leadership and gain valuable insights.
What you can expect
- Six 60-minute one-on-one coaching sessions, held virtually, spread over a period of 3 to 6 months.
- A flexible schedule that works for you. You can opt for either bi-weekly or monthly sessions according to your preference and needs.
- The opportunity to work directly with Larkin Tackett from BEN Leadership Coaching, a seasoned leadership coach.
Who it’s for
Leadership coaching is being offered exclusively to:
- TFA alumni residing in Texas, and
- Working full-time in a Pre-K 12 systems leadership role – in a district central office, charter network, or state agency – looking to accelerate their effectiveness and impact on educational equity.
About BEN Systems Leadership Coaching
BEN Systems Leadership Coaching helps leaders continuously create more purposeful lives and work. Led by seasoned coach Larkin Tackett (‘00 Mississippi Delta), the mission is to act as a jumper cable, mirror, and flashlight; reigniting the inherent leadership power within individuals, reflecting their creativity and challenges, and illuminating their strengths.
Larkin brings over two decades of leadership experience and training from Brown University and the Annie E. Casey Foundation to his coaching practice. Each session he conducts centers on fostering curiosity, courage, and accountability while propelling actions aligned with the client’s values and goals. Coaching is different from consulting, mentoring, or therapy. Larkin’s coaching is dynamic and responsive to the emergent and specific needs and growth goals of the leader.
