The Texas Education Agency is looking for the next Manager of Local Designation System Implementation. The Manager of Local Designation System Implementation will lead our team of content experts and support strong TIA implementation at the district level. They will also have the opportunity to work with Texas Tech University and serve as our implementation visionary and project manager.
The Manager of Local Designation System Implementation will play a critical role in providing a pathway for outstanding Texas teachers to earn six-figure salaries and support the implementation of House Bill 3’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership at the district level to weigh options and make informed decisions as districts seek local designation system approval. Additionally, this individual will play an important leadership role in the management and execution of TEA technical assistance, resource creation, and support to districts, ESCs, and technical assistance providers through three key processes: Local Designation System development and application, TIA Annual Program Submission, and the new Local Designation System Renewal process. This role will also manage the partnership with Texas Tech University, which supports TIA with the Data Validation, stakeholder surveys, and other research needs.
